I never threatened to quit. Public games are no fun. Tanks are not tanking and monks are hardily healing. Either that, or they are not able to play without at least two healers. I just play something else until Nightfall comes out, and when that is just as boring as Factions, I quit.
You may see that as a threat, but it is just a logical action when one doesn't like the game anymore.

Thanks for not really paying attention to the thread title, guys, and just posting "you played too much, oh well" instead of "yeah, I normally do some chest runs when i'm bored...that kills time very quickly"

To the people who did suggest something: thanks.
we did pay attention sherlock it is just that we have a lot more experience on this than you do and you didnt like the advice.

To avoid boredom I generally set goals for myself then set out to achieve them. Aside from titles there's also goals like farming a certain amount of money, or getting a certain rank in GvG, or whatever. And once you reach your goals, you can spend time helping guildies. I find that's more fun that anything else. Farming with guildies and helping guildies or pvping with them is what will sustain a longer-term interest in the game. And yes, sometimes it's important to just get away from the game because the mind requires more stimulation than can be provided by one thing, and thus anything gets boring if overdone.

2 Weeks? your clock running fast or something, as its OCTOBER 27th not September 27th

Unless your on about the preview, which if you think is 2 weeks away you'll miss it as it's now less than 1 week....

i had 600+ hours before i got factions, and now I have over 1000+

ive been playing since the beta test, and I still have SO MUCH LEFT TO DO...

7 characters... 2 arent max level yet ( i still play the rest too much)

and that IS with about 4 or more hours on a good day... I guess it all comes down to how you spend your time... pvp doesnt give you as much in the world of rewards (unless i occasionally test out a build idea with my 8th slot)

I try to stay out of ToPK and FoW but I cant. Ill even do Hells Precipice for the hell of it.

my advice: get a life, and if you so wish, give me your account(s?). honestly though, your rushing through everything too fast it seems. its okay to play a character after you lvl it to lvl 20 in 7 hours. and dont be afraid to act like a newb and take off all your armor and start dancing in town!

Finishing both games in 2 months is pretty extreme.

The only way I've kept interest is by finding one or two things I liked doing as I get bored:
- First RA
- then SF and and Tombs
- then farming titans
- then Factions
- then Fort Aspenwood
- now developing ele and preparing for Nightfall, but pretty bored atm.

Tried 55 or 605 hping?

I didn't mean Pre, I meant Tyria. My fault.

Anyway, i've found some fun in 55 monk farming. So i'll hang out with that for a bit.

Also, here's why I play so much: I work 2nd shift, get home around 11pm and that only leaves me with working out / playing games. I stay up until 4am every night, so I get a lot of time to play stuff.

I'd be more than happy to prove i'm not some fat guy sitting at his computer all day, surrounded by mountain dew cans and chips if someone wants to challenge that.

-- Anyway, about posting that rude remark earlier commenting on how many of you didnt' even bother to pay attention to the thread title, i'm sorry. I was having a pretty shitty day (some major family issues) and I shouldn't have posted that. Sorry to you guys for being a jerk.

Only about 5,000,000,000 people. Back when I played WoW, reading those forums, that would be one of the first insults thrown at someone who claimed to have something that was very time intensive. Faction, tons of epics, w/e

And no, i'd never go back to WoW. It should just be called World of Farmcraft. No thanks.

I think it's not so much that i'm getting bored, now that I think about it more...but i'm just feeling like i'm in a rut with my schedule.

I think it's just time to request different hours, instead of 2nd shift. I want to get back into biking again and I can't with what I work right now.

A bunch of my guildies had been saying how much fun playing a survivor was so about a month or two ago I started a new Warrior in Cantha and just finished getting him to Legendary.

I found this process to be quite interesting and, frankly, pretty exciting with many near death experiences threatening to negate all my efforts. My strategy was to play through all the missions and quests in Cantha and Tyria again but not dying a single time. It required a lot of help from my guild and a fair amount of luck but certainly kept my interest up!
